Jean Philippe Gleizes spent his  childhood in Africa, which would have a strong impact on his inspiration.

After studying architecture, he turned to design and exhibition scenography.

In 1984, he joined the very young gallery “En attendant les barbares”  for which he created his first piece of furniture, the Orque chair, which was highly publicized

Then he designed the interior design of the gallery “En attendant les Barbares”.

In 1988 he obtained “Carte Blanche “from the VIA for a personal exhibition.

Then he worked on several decoration projects: the Caron Avenue Montaigne boutique, the Ugo Rossetti store, the Maison de la Faux Fourrure, in Paris and New York.

In the field of scenography, he was chosen by the Centre Pompidou, the Musée de la Poste in Paris and The Hague, the MAD (Museum of Decorative Arts), or the Futuroscope in Poitiers.

While continuing to develop spaces (club “Le Select”, in Guinea, restaurant “Le Rude” in Paris, wellness center in Essaouira).
