Eric Jourdan

The beginnings:

A figure recognized by his peers, Eric Jourdan (born 1961) trained at the School of Fine Arts in Saint Etienne, and at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, where he subsequently held a chair.
The eclecticism of his talent allows him both to create street furniture, to participate in exhibitions in galleries, and to design furniture lines for Cinna / Roset.
In 2013, the year of his solo exhibition “Fauve” at the En Attendant les Barbares gallery, he received the ART PARIS Design Prize.
In 2015, he led a workshop at the great Chinese school CAFA in Beijing.
Since 2016, he has been teaching at the prestigious Camondo school.
In 2020, he was appointed director of ESADSE (École supérieure art et design de Saint-Étienne).
His pieces are present in the collections of the Fond National d’Art Contemporain, Paris, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, (MAD) Paris and the Musée d’Art Moderne, Saint Etienne.

Eric Jourdan  – White Agathe Armchair

Armchair by Eric Jourdan. Patinated wrought iron, upholstery. Produced by the ironsmith of Diego Giacometti, Pierre Basse, who works exclusively for the gallery. Selected for the lobby of the Four Seasons, in Megève.Eric Jourdan has won the Grand Prix du Design of the fair ArtParis in 2013. In 2020, he was appointed director of Esadse, the Saint-Étienne School of Art and Design, then in 2024, director of the Cité du Design.

 Wall lamp, by Eric Jourdan. Green patinated bronze version. Made by César’s bronzier, Gérard Garouste and Lalanne, the Bocquel foundry. Created in  2024. This designer won the Grand Prix du Design Art Paris.

Eric Jourdan – Belphegor Wall Lamp

Wall Lamp , by ERic Jourdan. Golden bronze.  Other patinas : green, black or brown, or gilded with yellow or white gold leaf. Eric Jourdan has won the “Grand Prix du Design”, at the fair Artparis, in 2013. Created for the exhibition “Fantasmagories”, 2022. Produced by the founder of Grérad Garouste, Bocquel workshop.

Eric Jourdan – Josephine Bench

Bench by Eric Jourdan. Frame in hand-beaten iron by Pierre Basse, ironworker of Diego Giacometti  who works exclusively for the gallery. Green patina, seat covered with leather. Custom dimensions and finishes. Other wrought-iron finishes: black, brown, gold. Or gilded with yellow or white gold leaf. Seat in leather or fabric. Eric Jourdan has won the “Grand Prix du Design”, at the fair Artparis .
