Wife and muse of Gérard Garouste, Elizabeth Garouste has always been immersed in an atmosphere where art was essential in aspirations and way of life. After his separation from Mattia Bonetti, his first solo creations for the En Attendant les Barbares gallery went beyond the field of design. Encouraged by the gallery, she dared to draw, on paper with extravagant inks of unbridled imagination. Or by turning to sculpture as inspiration for lighting or furniture.
Today, a recognized artist in her own right, she is fully realized within the framework of La Source, the foundation that she launched with Gérard Garouste around twenty years ago. Its mission: to transmit artistic fundamentals to underprivileged children.
